Parent/Child Dedication is an opportunity for parents to make a pledge before God and the congregation to raise their child(ren) in a Christ-centered home. In turn, the congregation commits to support these parents along the way.
It is our belief that baptism is an act of obedience that each individual should do after he or she has made the decision to accept Christ as his or her personal savior. Therefore, we do not baptize infants.
Although most parents dedicate their children while they are still young, parents with any age child can participate in the service. Participation of any family is completely voluntary.
There is a lot of preparation on the part the church to make the Parent/Child Dedication service special and personal. Therefore, we ask that you notify the church at least 1 month prior to scheduled service.
Dedication services are scheduled in May and November during Sunday morning services.
There is also a rehearsal the Friday evening before so participation families can get to know one another, the staff, and to receive important information about the services.
Our next Parent Child Dedication (date to be announced). Call Preschool Ministries at 210.377.8407 for more information.
